Living Gallery
The Living Gallery exhibit showcased a handful of new works interrogating the self-reflective nature of modern times while utilizing the green screen technique. Some of the works included were: Furniture Watching Furniture, See You/See Me, Self Portrait and Fish Bowl. This show was supported by an artist in residence program at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. To see photos from the opening click here. Furniture Watching FurnitureThis is a somewhat light-hearted installation piece referencing both popular culture, such as reality shows, as well the habits we humans have of watching each other and watching ourselves. In the projected video a grouping of doll furniture is watching a show about the same furniture on TV. A three-dimensional level is added by the physical doll furniture watching the projection and casting a shadow into it. As viewers pass by, they add a fourth level of observation.

See You/See MeThis piece is meant to be shown in a loop with a mirror to the right of the video. |
Self PortraitSelf Portrait is quite literally an artist's self portrait. The piece is about self reflection and reveals process in the process.
