Cruzando Caminos was an installation art project at Counterpath Press which involved three videos and multiple still images. At the time, Counterpath was located on the same block with an El Paisano Bus Station, just north of downtown Denver. Bus riders heading to Mexico and art gallery visitors heading to Counterpath would cross paths while going to their respective destinations with minimal interaction. The idea behind the project was to help emphasize an intersection of the cultures, help bridge the language gap and document one changing block in a city which is rapidly changing. The project was realized in December 2014. By the spring of 2015, both Counterpath and El Paisano were forced to relocate after the entire block was sold. Below you can see videos and images from the project and you can read more about it here. See photos from the opening here.

Projected TextThis text was projected onto the sidewalk between Counterpath and the buses from El Paisano as part of the opening for an exhibition about immigration. The words in the text were taken directly from interviews with people standing on the very sidewalk where it is projected. In this manner, intends to give a voice to an area where the voices are not always heard.
